Location: Bridgeport
US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities:
Operate the wastewater treatment plant and laboratory facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal permit requirements;
Monitor computer screens to verify plant cycling and parameter settings;
Coordinate with other operators on maintenance, calibrations, and repair of flow meters, chart recorders, chlorinators, tank level indicators, transducers, dissolved oxygen meters, and pH meters;
Maintain and repair motors, sludge collection drive mechanism, comminutors, blowers, air diffusers, gear boxes, airlift and centrifugal pumps, timer controls, and flow metering system;
Determine and order equipment and materials needed for treatment facilities and laboratory as needed
