We are seeking a highly motivated Assembler to interpret blueprints and other documentation to produce components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies. This position will verify specifications using various measuring tools, perform routine maintenance on equipment and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workspace, as well as document and troubleshoot assemblies as required.
Responsibilities- Prepares work to be assembled utilizing assembly instructions, blueprints, market lists, etc.
- Carefully test the partly assembled parts before performing the final assembling.
- Verifies specifications by measuring or checking parts to be assembled.
- Follow the targets and deadlines set for jobs.
- Follow instructions written and/or verbal.
- Must follow all the safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations while assembling.
- Document and troubleshoot assemblies as required.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance procedures.
- Bolt, screw, and/or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
- Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners as required.
- Apply sealants, adhesives, resins, and solvents per customer specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment as required.
- Identify product defects and communicate errors to appropriate personnel.
- Bag and tag finished products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
- Ability to understand drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
- Good math and analytical skills. Strong teamwork skills.
- Must be organized and know how to maintain equipment.
- Need to have excellent manual dexterity and be able to work with small, detailed objects.
- High school diploma or GED.
