Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a critical role in our manufacturing processes. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new programming and setup instructions for our Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. Your work will ensure the production of high-quality parts and materials required for our cutting-edge aerospace projects.
This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail, as well as a strong understanding of the ITAR/aerospace environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate run books and setup instructions for all CNC machines.
- Create, verify, and revise programs for CNC machines, ensuring all work is repeatable and auditable.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
- Conduct regular tests and inspections of CNC machines to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the CNC machines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest CNC programming technologies and industry trends.
- Ensure all work complies with ITAR and other relevant aerospace regulations.
- Train and guide junior programmers and operators on CNC machine setup and programming.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role as a CNC Programmer within the engineering industry.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience in maintaining accurate run books, setup instructions, and program revisions.
- Familiarity with ITAR/aerospace environments is a must.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
