Conifer Nursery Shipping Lead

Our Nursery division offers qualified candidates an opportunity to join our team and work in a professional conifer seedling nursery. Our technologically advanced and innovative conifer nursery is located in the beautiful Shasta Valley of Northern California. Recognizing this being a team-oriented and hands-on position, living in the general Siskiyou County area is essential.

About The Position
  • Responsibilities center around shipping and logistics for conifer nursery products
  • Manage nursery shipping and production schedules in coordination with production and horticulture departments while meeting critical timelines and priorities
  • Manage nursery inventory system and accurate crop counts
  • Work directly and collaboratively with production lead in all aspects of logistical and production responsibilities
  • Compile production reporting, proactively identifying challenges and solutions, and effectively communicate with the manager
  • Ensure product quality and delivery deadlines are met and align with customer goals
  • Utilize inventory management software to track inventory and map throughout the facility
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members to support informed decision making
  • Work closely with nursery manager for customer requests and preferences
  • Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work alternate schedules and overtime depending on production needs
Qualifications
  • 2 years’ experience in nursery operations or recent related production/shipping activities with excellent work references
  • Solid understanding of nursery scheduling and logistics preferred
  • Experience in safe forklift operation
  • Strong self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a dynamic work environment
