Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing process by operating designated production equipment.
• Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load them into production machines.
• Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications to ensure the proper quantities of materials are added in the correct sequence.
• Manufacture product safely and timely, following predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
• Accurately read control instruments and prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required.
• Complete all quality test requirements to verify final product quality.
• Ensure efficient, uninterrupted production, identify and facilitate process improvements, monitor equipment and report production information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Keep records for production, raw material deliveries, quality samples, and equipment and process performance.
• Prepare product packaging for the next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance and cleanliness of various laboratory instruments.
• Work in accordance with all relevant requirements and internal safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Maintain housekeeping in the plant and keep a clean, safe, and clutter‑free work environment.
• Understand significant QSHE aspects/impacts associated with work, including relevant legal/other requirements and emergency preparedness and response.
• Apply the Corporate Sustainability Policy and the Integrated Management System (IMS) to continuously improve QSHE aspects of the job.

High school diploma or equivalent education required.

• Five years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
• Experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing or related operation.

• Computer skills and laboratory experience are preferred.
• Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends, including operating the facility alone at nights and weekends.
• Ability to work inside and occasionally outside while exposed to heat, cold, dirt, and noise.

Wage range: $28-$32 hourly.
