Position
Purpose:
The Multimedia Content Producer is a key member of the Communications team and primary partner for the Director of Communications & PR, responsible for producing and project managing a diverse portfolio of long- and short-form videos and digital content.
Specific Expectations for Communications Staff:
In addition to duties and essential job functions listed in job descriptions, the following responsibilities are expected of all employees in the Communications Department:
Occasional nights and weekend work in support of school and/or client events and activities, as well as project deadlines. Professional development as required and approved by your supervisor, and attendance of, or participation in, mandatory meetings and/or events as directed by your supervisor including but not limited to Director’s Days. All employees will be paid appropriately and according to current law.
Essential Functions Digital Content Strategy, Production, & Fulfillment Immersed in the life of the school, conceive, capture, and tell compelling stories via video, photography, and other digital formats that showcase the people, programs, traditions, signature events, and mission of Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton (SHS), ensuring multiple projects move efficiently from concept to completion both on-time and on-budget.
Partner closely with the Dir., Communications & PR to create and execute a digital content strategy that supports internal and external school communications, news, and storytelling through visual media (video/photography) for use across multiple channels and platforms.
Lead end-to-end video and digital production: idea generation, storytelling concept, storyboarding, interviewing, lighting, sound, editing, color grading, and titling/graphics/motion graphics to support school-wide communications.
Partner with and provide cross-departmental support to key institutional clients—Admissions, Advancement, Mission, and/or other key departments and staff—to develop, project manage, film, and produce high-quality video content that supports the SHS narrative and aids in meeting recruitment, retention, and fundraising targets.
Apply expert-level project portfolio management skills to manage the full lifecycle production for multiple concurrent projects, maintaining strict timelines, approvals, proactively updating stakeholders, anticipating any bottlenecks, and maintaining quality standards.
Steward and model appropriate use of the SHS brand, ensuring every visual story reflects the school’s mission, values, reputation, standards of excellence across all platforms, meets institutional goals, and ensures all media assets comply with copyright laws and music licensing standards.
