We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager with 15‑20 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry to oversee and manage key programs for our company. The Senior Program Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, maintaining client satisfaction, and driving the growth and profitability of our aerospace engineering services.
This position will be responsible for managing the technical requirements of multiple contracts and will also oversee and report on team activities, deliverables, funds expenditure reports, travel budget, overall funding and tasking. The Senior Program Manager will interface and routinely communicate with the customer to ensure appropriate performance and oversight for the contract, ensuring cost, schedule and reporting are completed as required.
Position requires management and leadership, effectively collaborating with assigned assets, subject & technical matter experts, functional leads, and Project Managers. Provides technical input to documents, briefs, point papers and work statements.
- Lead and manage complex aerospace engineering programs from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to technical, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates on program status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations effectively.
- Develop and execute program plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication strategies.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and procurement to achieve program goals and deliverables.
- Monitor and report on program performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout the program lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the program team, promoting best practices and lessons learned.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align program objectives with organizational goals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- BS/BA degree required in Engineering, Business Administration, Management or other relevant discipline; advanced degree preferred in related fields.
