Impact Summary

MTech is seeking an experienced Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience and a proven track record of developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for precision aerospace and defense components and assemblies. This role serves as the technical bridge between engineering and production, ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and capable of meeting stringent quality, schedule, and regulatory requirements.

The Staff Manufacturing Engineer will be actively engaged on the production floor, providing hands-on support to manufacturing operations, resolving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will support multiple programs and contracts simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while ensuring production schedules, customer commitments, and program milestones are achieved. The successful candidate will also support quoting and estimating activities, manufacturing planning, production scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace and defense products, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with design engineering teams during product development to provide design recommendations.
  • Apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to evaluate engineering drawings, resolve manufacturability concerns, develop manufacturing strategies, and support inspection and acceptance requirements.
