Linux System Administrator

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment supporting various DoD software development platforms in a secure Classified environment.

• Container Integration – Utilize familiarity with containerization concepts to support application deployment. Assist with the management of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Automation and Scripting – Apply working knowledge of Ansible and other scripting tools to automate routine maintenance, server builds, and patching for optimum performance.
• Development Support – Work within an Agile scrum methodology to provide infrastructure support for software development teams. Help maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
• Systems Maintenance – Install, configure, and manage Linux operating systems (Red Hat) and related toolsets.
• Security and Compliance – Perform continuous monitoring, scanning, and hardening of systems to ensure they remain compliant with NAVAIR and DISA policies. Execute DoD STIG applications and other cyber compliance actions.
• Documentation and Operations – Maintain a robust knowledge base including system descriptions, procedures, and event logs. Respond promptly to system failures to ensure high availability for applications.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance, required. Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• At least five (5) years of hands‑on experience working with UNIX/Linux and Windows.
• Experience with the build, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux Servers (Red Hat, CentOS).
• Experience in DoD Information Assurance/Cyber policy, specifically implementing STIGs and system hardening.

• Experience with VMware Tanzu.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
• Experience with Ansible.

• Must be DoD 8140 and 5239 compliant.
• CompTIA Security+.
• OS Certification.

• On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
