The Big Picture

Bonita Valley Baptist Church () is seeking a full‑time dedicated, passionate, and experienced Senior Pastor to join our team and lead our congregation in spiritual growth and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep love for the inerrant word of God, and desire to teach the Bible as written. We are a vibrant, diverse, and healthy community of faith, committed to serving God and loving our neighbors.

We envision teaching believers, through the Bible, how to love God and love their neighbors (Col 1:28, Matt 22:37‑40).

We see a church of fully devoted followers of Jesus. Through dynamic preaching and practical teaching of the Scripture, along with discipling relationships, we strive to see life transformation occurs and people becoming more like Christ.

We rejoice BVBC is made up of people from different racial, ethnic, national, and economic backgrounds. Requirements Qualifications

• A. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• B. Consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle, fulfilling the biblical leadership qualifications of an elder described in 1 Timothy 3:1‑7 and Titus 1:5‑9.
• C. Agreement with the Constitution and By‑Laws of BVBC.
• D. Demonstrated desire to, and practice of, seeking the Lord for personal direction and vision for the church.
• E. Has a consistent, daily devotional habit of bible study and prayer.
• F. Proficient in biblical preaching and teaching.
• G. Properly ordained and educated in biblical, theological, and pastoral studies.
• H. Ministry experience demonstrating growth of spiritual health in the Body of Christ.
• I. Proficient in communication, organizational leadership, administration, and interpersonal relationships.
