Western Klamath Restoration Partnership Coordinator

The Western Klamath Restoration Partnership Coordinator supports collaborative wildfire resilience, forestry, and community engagement efforts within the Western Klamath Restoration Partnership (WKRP) and Mid Klamath Watershed Council (MKWC). This position coordinates partner communications, meetings, grant management, outreach activities, and planning efforts that support landscape-scale fire resilience and community preparedness initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and experience managing projects and partnerships in a dynamic team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience in natural resources, forestry, environmental studies, communications, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in project coordination, grant administration, community outreach, or administrative support.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience preparing meeting materials, taking notes, and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, including spreadsheets, document management, and shared drives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners, agencies, Tribal organizations, contractors, and community members.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for meetings, field visits, and events as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends for community meetings and events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in natural resources, forestry, environmental science, public administration, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in wildfire resilience, forestry, prescribed fire, Firewise, Fire Safe Council, Tribal natural resource management, or community-based land management programs.
  • Experience with grant writing, grant management, and reporting for state, federal, Tribal, or foundation-funded projects.
  • Familiarity with Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs), Firewise USA®, and Fire Safe Council programs.
  • Experience coordinating large meetings, workshops, trainings, or public events.
  • Experience developing outreach materials, website content, newsletters, or public communications.
  • Familiarity with data management and collaborative platforms such as Box, Google Drive, Zotero, Airtable, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of rural and Tribal community engagement practices and collaborative partnership development.
  • Experience working in nonprofit, Tribal government, or interagency partnership settings.
  • Knowledge of the Klamath region, wildfire resilience initiatives, and community forestry efforts
