Cultivate Community & Impact:Philanthropic Giving Officer Filoli is seeking a collaborative and relationship-driven Philanthropic Giving Officer to steward and grow our community of leadership annual donors ($1,000 to $25,000). Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, you will play a vital role in connecting passionate supporters to our historic house, vibrant gardens, and broader mission.

Position Type:
Full-time, Exempt, Salaried, Benefit Eligible
Schedule:
Full-time flexibility needed for occasional evening and weekend events
Hourly Range: $101,000 to $111,000 per hour (Depending upon candidate experience)
What You’ll DoManage & Cultivate (75%):Manage a portfolio of 175–250 leadership annual donors and Filoli Circle members through personalized outreach, site visits, renewals, and gift upgrades.
Build the Pipeline (10%):
Analyze donor data and give trends to qualify prospects and refer donors ready for deeper campaigns or major gift engagement.
Create Impactful Stewardship (10%):
Host donor experiences, represent Filoli at special programs, and collaborate with horticulture, curatorial, and education teams to showcase donor impact.
Analyze & Forecast (5%):
Maintain accurate CRM records, track fundraising goals, and contribute insights to strengthen institutional giving strategies.
What You Bring
FundraisingExperience:
2–5 years of progressively responsible fundraising, donor relations, or relationship management experience (cultural institution or garden experience is a plus).Education & Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree and a valid Driver’s License required.
People & Communication
Skills:
High emotional intelligence, a commitment to DEAI, and comfort practicing Radical Candor to build trust across teams and donor networks.
Tech & Operations Savvy:
Working knowledge of CRM/donor databases, Google Suite, MS Office, and cross-functional planning tools (e.g., ).Work Environment & Expectations On-Site Mobility:
Ability to walk across uneven outdoor garden terrain, stand during events, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Schedule Flexibility:
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to host donor gatherings and represent leadership at special events.
