Roles & Responsibilities Provide high-quality endoscopy nursing care to adult patients before, during, and after procedures
Perform pre-op assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures
Monitor patients intra- and post-procedure, recognizing and responding to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in accordance with hospital standards
Participate in cross-training to support Pre-op staffing needs when required
Adhere to infection control, sterile technique, and safety protocols for endoscopy procedures
Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; ability to practice in California is required
Prior endoscopy nursing experience is required
Experience working in Pre-op settings and willingness to cross-train
Comfort with occasional call coverage, though minimal per the role
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient communication skills
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications as applicable are a plus
Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills Solid knowledge of endoscopy procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
Skilled in pre-op assessment and post-procedure recovery monitoring
Proficient in patient education, comfort measures, and managing anxiety
Good documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced procedural environment
Team-oriented communication and collaboration skills
