Requirements and Desired Experience

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Comprehensive understanding of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to function effectively in high-stress, fast-paced situations
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, as required
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, maintaining strict adherence to sterile protocol
• Prepare the OR by setting up necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional status before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document care accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort and providing updates to families as appropriate
