Job SummaryLead and support unit-based nursing operations in Labor & Delivery. Responsible for coordinating patient care, supervising nursing staff, ensuring quality outcomes, and maintaining patient safety standards. Works closely with clinical leadership and physicians to support efficient, high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide unit leadership and supervise nursing/ancillary staff
- Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor staffing, assignments, and workflow efficiency
- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Address patient care concerns and operational issues
- Assist with staff coaching, evaluation, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Active RN license (State of CA)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required
- Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Supervisory experience required
- L&D experience strongly preferred
- Leadership role in Labor & Delivery
- Coastal California location
- High-acuity clinical environment
- Strong team collaboration with physicians and staff
