Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – CA – Day shift – Travel temporary assignment in a hospital setting in Alturas, California.
Start date:
07/07/2026. Contract duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,946–$2,038 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Hospital-type care environment (travel assignment)
- Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on condition; notify the Charge Nurse and physician of abnormal findings.
- Develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team; perform treatments and nursing interventions as ordered.
- Perform nursing procedures accurately (e.g., EKGs, blood draws, IV starts); maintain clean, stocked work areas; provide patient hydration.
- Administer medications per facility policy; ensure medications are current, correctly labeled, and documented accurately.
- Document assessment findings and patient responses; monitor progress toward problem resolution and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Initiate emergency resuscitation measures per protocol; respond to emergencies promptly and communicate updates to the care team.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver non-judgmental, culturally sensitive care; adhere to safety and infection control standards.
- Assist in patient transfers and coordination for procedures or diagnostics; participate in staff orientation and ongoing education as needed.
- Active California Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Ability to walk, bend, lift, and sustain the physical demands of the role; good stamina and dexterity for patient care.
- Strong assessment skills; able to work effectively in emergencies; adaptable and able to follow directions.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written); able to communicate with patients, families, and the health care team.
- Dependable with a history of good attendance; a team player who respects colleagues and maintains confidentiality.
- Uniform:
Caribbean Blue scrubs are required for acceptance to the position. - Ability to work in a hospital setting and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and other departments.
