Job SummaryThis position performs a dual function, clinical and managerial. It provides direct and indirect patient care, performs disciplinary actions, participates in hiring and termination of staff, and communicates with physicians, nurse managers, and co‑workers about changes in patient condition, including diagnostic results and symptomatology. The role requires quick and accurate response to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (accomplished in partnership with patient inside room).
- Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities and needs.
- Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates patient and family regarding pain management.
- Revises plan of care as indicated by patient response to treatment and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness.

- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure in state of practice
- Current BLS, NRP, STABLE certification
- Previous neonatal intensive care unit charge nurse experience required
