Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

Locum Tenens Gastroenterology NP/PA Opportunity Panorama City, California

A well-established healthcare system in Panorama City, California is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a background in Gastroenterology for a locum tenens assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for consistent weekday hours and a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

• Start Date: ASAP

• Duration: 3 6 months (6 months preferred)

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PM (flexibility available)

• Setting: Outpatient clinic with morning inpatient rounding

• Perform gastroenterology consults, medication management, and pathology follow-ups

• Conduct morning inpatient rounding (approximately 2 2.5 hours daily)

• Provide care in clinic for the remainder of the day

• Perform paracentesis procedures (approximately 2 3 per day)

• Collaborate with a team supporting multiple GI physicians

• Average 8 10 patients per day in clinic, plus inpatient rounding

• Supported by experienced RN and LVN staff

• Coverage role assisting a team of 12 Gastroenterologists

• Call: None

• EMR: Epic (Health Connect)

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Active California license required (no licensing candidates)

• Gastroenterology experience required

• Proficiency in performing paracentesis
