Opioid Agonist Treatment Nurse; Nelson

Interior Health is seeking a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join the Opioid Agonist Treatment team in Nelson, BC. Emphasizing harm reduction, this role requires strong assessment and communication skills. This casual RN/RPN position plays a vital role in supporting individuals with substance use and mental health issues. You will assess client needs, provide treatment planning, and deliver urgent responses when necessary.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of opioid use disorder and be committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care as part of a cooperative team.

• Assess client needs for Opioid Agonist Treatment
• Maintain thorough documentation and case management
• Engage in community support initiatives
• Provide education on overdose prevention
• Work closely with various healthcare professionals

• Degree from an approved nursing school
• Minimum two years’ relevant experience
• Current registration with BCCNM
• Valid driver’s license in B.C.
• Flexibility and organization in managing workloads
