Night Medicine Nurse Responsibilities

The night medicine nurse is managed by the night management of the Vexin sites with a health care manager responsible for the structure (schedule management and professional interviews). The RN works in collaboration with nursing assistants, medical teams and multidisciplinary paramedical teams of the service and the establishment. The RN performs acts and provides nursing care of its own role, as well as nursing care of its role on prescriptions (management and dispensing of therapies, simple or complex dressings...)
Shift hours: 7pm to 7am

Knowledge of pathologies specific to the elderly

Listening, empathetic, rigor, versatility within the pole. Ability to observe, analyze and evaluate clinical situations. Practice of technical care. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

• Provide comprehensive care for patients within the technical, relational, prevention and education domain.

• Respect the rules of hygiene and asepsis in the fight against nosocomial infections

• Organize care according to its own role, its role on prescription and according to validated protocols

• Welcome the patient and his entourage in an adapted way

• Ensure and control the different evaluations (pain, pressure sore, behavioral disorder…) using the scales used by the service

• Anticipate patient care according to protocol during a life-threatening emergency

• Transmit precise, reliable and usable information
