Overview
Registered Nurse – PACU in Saint Helena, California. Start date 08/24/2026 for an 8-week travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $1,970–$2,115. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 5 days per week. This assignment emphasizes coordinated perioperative recovery care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, with Epic EMR experience required.

Short-term acute care hospital PACU environment
- Deliver coordinated post-anesthesia nursing care for a patient or patient group according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff in the PACU and coordinate care with anesthesia, surgical, and surgical services teams.
- Collect relevant data, assess and analyze to determine care needs; develop and implement a plan to achieve desired outcomes; continuously evaluate progress.
- Provide education to patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and promote a safe, healing environment through effective care coordination.
- Document care activities and patient responses in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate and timely communication with the care team.
- Delegate appropriately and support ongoing learning for patients, families, and team members.
- Active RN license in the state of practice (CA required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PACU or acute care settings
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS (AHA or ARC) required
- Facility-specific BLS certification as applicable
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced perioperative environment and participate in discharge planning
- Vaccination requirements in line with facility policy (as applicable)
