• Deliver direct nursing care for cardiac patients, including post-operative and open-heart recovery care, according to established standards of care.
• Monitor patients, interpret data from telemetry and hemodynamic monitors, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning, patient and family education, and transition-of-care activities to ensure continuity post-discharge.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff on the unit, maintaining a safe, healing environment and effective team communication.

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California or equivalent).
• BLS certification required; ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.
• Minimum of two years of recent acute care experience, with cardiovascular/cardiac focus.
• Balloon pump/open heart recovery experience required.
• BSN degree preferred; ADN acceptable with relevant cardiac experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and manage high-acuity cardiac patients.
