Health Services Director in Training – Elder Care Leadership

Overview

• Training by department heads at the community level
• Gain comprehensive understanding of managing a team as Health Services Director
• Work under a current Health Services Director to gain on-the-job experience
• Complete a program anticipated to be three months in length
• Not fill a budgeted position while completing the program
• Next assignments may include Health Services Director position, Memory Care Director, Assisted Living Director, or Floating Health Services Director

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Minimum of six months in current position (for Oakmont members)
• Prefer two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse
• One (1) year's experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
• California LVN or RN License in good standing
• Willingness to travel throughout the state during training process
• Open to relocation for permanent position
• Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership
• Prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Passion for serving older adults
• Ability to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals
• Proficient in basic computer systems
• Ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
• Able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively
• Able to adapt and respond to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
• Must be coachable, highly motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR as needed
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests.

Demonstrates strong clinical leadership and interpersonal skills while managing teams in health services. Proficient in electronic health records and committed to serving older adults in residential care settings.
