Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct resident care to support daily activities and promote comfort within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting. They work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure resident needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
  • Take and record vital signs accurately to monitor resident health status.
  • Observe residents for skin integrity changes and notify appropriate staff of concerns.
  • Turn, reposition, and transfer residents safely to prevent pressure injuries and facilitate mobility.
  • Maintain cleanliness in resident care areas by changing linens and restocking supplies.
  • Respond promptly to resident call signals and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications
  • Hold a current California Certified Nursing Assistant license.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
  • Possess the ability to work effectively under pressure in a healthcare environment.
  • Exhibit compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care approach.
