Registered Nurse - ICU

ICU Registered Nurse Opportunity

Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring high-quality, individualized treatment for critically ill patients. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive nursing services and promote patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions through thorough history taking, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic data.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and hospital protocols.
• Monitor and recognize signs of cardiac, respiratory, or other medical emergencies, providing immediate intervention as needed.
• Administer and document medications accurately following hospital policies, ensuring adherence to the six rights of medication administration.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans, fostering understanding and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Possess at least two years of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably EPIC.
• Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills, with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
