About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to serve as the primary clinical resource at an onsite employee health clinic in Mojave, California.

This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys practicing independently, building relationships across all levels of an organization, and making an immediate impact on employee health and safety. You'll provide direct clinical care, manage occupational injuries and workers' compensation cases, support return-to-work efforts, and partner with employees and leaders to create a healthier workplace.

Deliver Employee Care & Clinical Support
  • Provide first aid, triage, and nursing care for workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Deliver evidence-based care for minor medical concerns within nursing scope of practice
  • Coordinate care with Work Care’s Injury Care program and consulting physicians
  • Support medical surveillance programs, health screenings, and regulatory testing
Lead Workers' Compensation & Case Management
  • Manage work-related injury cases from initial report through resolution
  • Coordinate workers' compensation activities and case documentation
  • Facilitate transitional work programs and return-to-work planning
  • Partner with employees, supervisors, providers, and claims professionals to support positive outcomes
Drive Health, Safety & Prevention
  • Promote injury prevention through employee education and ergonomic initiatives
  • Participate in safety meetings, emergency response activities, and health programs
  • Support wellness events, health fairs, vaccination clinics, and employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Analyze trends and contribute insights to improve workplace health outcomes
Manage Clinic Operations
  • Maintain compliant and accurate medical records
  • Track clinic utilization and health metrics
  • Maintain OSHA documentation and injury reporting data
  • Ensure clinic supplies and equipment are stocked and operational
  • Support daily clinic operations while delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience in occupational health, employee health, workers' compensation, case management, urgent care, emergency care, or related clinical environments
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Occupational Health Nursing experience
  • COHN or COHN-S certification
  • Experience administering medical surveillance programs
  • NIOSH certification
  • DOT drug and alcohol testing certification
  • Audiometry (CAOHC) certification
  • OSHA recordkeeping experience
