Short Term Acute Care Hospital - No on-call requirement
- EPIC experience required
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including emergency situations and circulating for C-Sections
- Assess maternal and fetal status, monitor amniotic fluid and vaginal bleeding, and recognize/Manage perinatal complications
- Develop and implement multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with the health care team; document patient responses legibly and timely
- Manage pain control for laboring patients and assist with epidural catheter placement when appropriate
- Educate patients and families through all stages of perinatal care, using developmentally and culturally appropriate methods; support families in postpartum recovery
- Supervise and delegate to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; ensure safe, evidence-based care in a LDRP model and maintain patient safety throughout perinatal events
- Active RN license in the state of practice (CA)
- Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred - Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (plus Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course) required - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience - Special requirements: EPIC electronic medical records experience; LDRP model experience advantageous; no on-call requirement

Ability to work night shift and rotating schedule; demonstrated clinical judgment in perinatal emergencies
