• Assess patient condition and nursing needs; plan and implement nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse and director of nursing
• Administer medications following the eight medication rights to reduce the potential for errors
• Ensure continuity of care between shifts by providing direct patient care and supervising CNAs and supportive staff
• Document changes in patient condition and nursing care on progress notes and care plans; maintain accurate records
• Perform waived (point-of-care) testing per policy; interpret results and take appropriate action
• Notify physicians of changes in patient condition and follow through until appropriate action is taken; participate in thorough shift handoffs and care coordination

• Active California LVN/LPN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
• Basic computer knowledge;
  Electronic Health Record experience preferred
• Additional languages preferred
• Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting
