Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides technical nursing care to residents by employing the nursing process and collaborates as a member of the nursing team under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN may also take on a charge nurse role within the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical nursing care to residents following established nursing procedures.
• Actively participate as a member of the nursing team, contributing to the overall care of patients.
• Assist in the assessment and planning of resident care in collaboration with RNs and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration and monitoring of patients' conditions.
• Educate residents and their families about health management and wellness.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed, ensuring effective management of shifts and team coordination.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and basic nursing principles and techniques.
