Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.
Schedule: Full-Time Days
Shift: Monday - Friday with on-call requirements. Actual shift will depend on departmental needs at the completion of training.

PrimaryJob Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support to patients and families, demonstrating Advent Health’s commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.
- Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments and personnel.
- Support surgical teams by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain sterility in the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons and scrub techs.
- Assist in specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to Advent Health policies.
- Participate in counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) to ensure patient safety.
- Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills [Required]
- Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures [Required]
- Ability to work as a Team player within a unit [Required]
- Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills [Required]
- EKG competency testing (based on patient population) [Required]
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- 1+ experience in a specialty area(s) [Preferred]
- Prior exposure to surgical services is preferred
Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
Physical Requirements -
Pay Range:$32.76 - $57.47
Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
