Substitute School Nurse
Southern Boone School District
Southern Boone School District is seeking a dependable and compassionate
Substitute School Nurse
to provide nursing services and support the health and well-being of students and staff as needed.
- ActiveLPN license required; RN license preferred.
- Current CPR/AED certification required.
- Must successfully complete a background check through the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the FBI.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to student health needs and emergencies.
- Provide nursing care and health services to students in accordance with school district policies and applicable regulations.
- Assess student health concerns and determine appropriate care or follow-up.
- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures as authorized.
- Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and health emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
- Communicate appropriately with parents/guardians, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs.
- Support a safe and healthy school environment.
Required:
Active LPN license and current CPR/AED certification
Preferred:
RN license
Required:
Successful completion of Missouri State Highway Patrol and FBI background checks
