Lactation Consultant RN

About This Role

The Lactation Consultant RN collaborates with education consultants and managers to develop and implement educational strategies and programs focused on breastfeeding education and maternal care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses passionate about improving clinical education and patient outcomes.

• Pay: $65 - $79/hour
• Location: Fontana, CA
• Facility: Fontana Medical Center
• Schedule: Part-time, Night shift

• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs to meet regulatory requirements and organizational needs.
• Design and implement continuing professional education activities for staff.
• Collaborate with consultants on special projects in professional education and development.
• Communicate and market education programs to a broad audience based on assessed needs.
• Participate in classroom instruction on developed projects.
• Make recommendations for cost/quality strategies and serve as a resource for staff.
• Develop and monitor orientation and education processes for clinical staff.
• Respond to changes in clinical practice and provide necessary training and education.
• Ensure compliance and documentation of organizational records based on regulatory standards.

• Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required

• Minimum two (2) years of previous teaching experience or in-service education in clinical service area

• Registered Nurse License (California)
• International Board Lactation Consultant Examiners Certificate within 12 months of hire
