DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with a CA RN license, 2+ years of experience, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification for a night shift LDRP position.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit in an acute care hospital setting
- LDRP model of care
- Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, rotating shifts
- 36 hours per week
- No call requirements
- Requires EPIC experience
- Active CA RN license required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- NRP certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and renewed every two years
- Novice L&D RNs must complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course during first 6-8 months of orientation
- No prior adverse licensure actions permitted
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an RN in the L&D unit
- Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care duties
- Actively participate in committees such as Shared Governance
- Promote positive relations with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
- Maintain current professional licenses and certifications as required
- Adhere to all applicable professional, regulatory, and hospital policies
- Position is represented by CNA
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
- No radius restriction; local candidates receive the same rate as travelers
- Traveler may only be placed at one hospital within the health system at a time
