The Forestry Technician 4 (FT4) position
A full-time position with the Northern Sonoma County Fire Fuels Crew.
Duties include:- Provide field supervision to crew members
- Serve as project manager
- Responsible for the coordination and implementation of vegetation management projects
- Deliver training as needed
- Coordinate the safe work environment of crew members
- Assign daily duties and monitor the progress of crew members
- Maintain inventory and perform maintenance and repair of all equipment and tools
- Act as point of contact between crew members and the Forestry Technician 5
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of experience as a fuels crew member or similar position
- Ability to pass Work Capacity Test at the Arduous Level within 3 months of hire
