Position: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (SEIU)
Location: Templeton

Shift Details

Variable Shift, 5 x 8s, rotating shift/including weekends. Start times vary - 600, 700, 1300, and 1400. Must have CLS.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical laboratory testing with accuracy following SOPs and safety guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain core instruments, ensuring calibration and quality checks.
  • Document results promptly, clearly, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Review test data for validity, flag anomalies, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Interpret laboratory findings and communicate critical results to clinicians promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in incident reporting and corrective actions.
  • Assist in method validation, verification, and deployment of new assays.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet performance targets and deadlines.
  • Document and track individual performance metrics; pursue opportunities for skill growth.
  • Assist with data entry into laboratory information systems and ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain inventory of reagents and supplies; manage ordering and stock levels.
Qualifications
  • CLIA‑compliant clinical lab testing with strict SOP adherence.
  • Operate and maintain core instruments; perform calibration and QC checks.
  • Accurate data entry and result documentation in LIS; ensure data integrity.
  • Timely interpretation of results; communicate critical findings to clinicians.
  • Review data for validity; flag anomalies and initiate corrective actions.
  • Follow safety protocols; participate in incident reporting and corrective actions.
  • Assist in method validation/verification; support deployment of new assays.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet performance targets.
  • Track performance metrics; pursue continuous skill growth and development.
  • Maintain reagent and supply inventory; manage ordering and stock levels.
