Quality Specialist – Mojave, CA
PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Quality Specialist to work at our Mojave, CA location. This customer-facing role ensures that products manufactured at this facility meet all customer requirements. The position is onsite and reports directly to the Quality Compliance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Help develop and maintain internal quality procedures and implement QA/Control plans as per customer and company requirements
- Examine customer quality and material specifications, ensuring alignment with their quality system requirements which includes reviewing ISO/AITM methods for revision and technical changes
- Manage Production Part Approval Process documents
- Ensure PFMEA documents are maintained, risks identified and action taken
- Lead internal audits
- Manage Process Control Documents (PCD) and participate in an unbiased internal audit program to ensure compliance with quality procedures across all operations
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols while contributing to process enhancements to ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in certification and customer audits
- 2+ years of prior quality experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Digital literacy in ERP Systems such as QAD
- Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles preferred
- Experience in inspection, test, and product evaluation, coupled with a strong background in customer service excellence

Base salary range: $70,000 to $84,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 4.5% of base salary
