Lab Support Technician

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Lab Support Technician for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate is an early-career to moderately experienced laboratory support professional with hands-on experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environment. This is a hands-on lab operations role focused on supporting internal scientists by managing day-to-day operational needs with a customer-service mindset. The position involves supporting temperature-controlled equipment, sample management, and equipment maintenance coordination in a GxP/GMP-regulated laboratory.

Responsibilities:

• Perform, verify, and give feedback on complex services and procedures
• Provide basic laboratory support functions including stocking and distributing supplies and equipment
• Manage lab operations activities including equipment and facility work orders, asset lifecycle coordination, and sample receipt and shipment
• Support temperature-controlled equipment and perform cross-functional follow-up with operational support teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with site guidelines and lab regulations
• Participate in and contribute to group and project meetings
• Perform problem resolution, including identifying problems and offering solutions

Requirements:

• Associate degree and 2 years of experience OR
• 2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR
• High school diploma / GED and 4 years of experience
• Strong teamwork, communication, and detail-oriented skills
• Ability to manage numerous activities at once, including equipment schedules, alarms, documentation, and sample activities
• Comfortable following procedures and accurately documenting activities within a regulated environment
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word or similar tools

Desired skills:

• Understanding of GxP/GMP-regulated laboratory practices
• Previous experience in sample management, freezer management, temperature-controlled storage, or sample transfers

Pay range:
Up to $24.62per hour
