Brief Description
The Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) Systems Coordinator is a key contributor to maintaining and strengthening Lundberg Family Farms’ quality and compliance programs. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with foundational experience in quality systems or data management who is eager to grow their expertise. Working cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and certification bodies, the Coordinator ensures accurate documentation, supports critical systems, and helps drive continuous improvement across food safety and quality processes.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate supplier approval and document collection programs, and manage supplier data through platforms such such as Trace Gains.
- Manage customer quality communications, including responding to inquiries and maintaining customer-facing quality portals.
- Coordinate and submit documentation for product certifications (e.g., Organic, Kosher, Gluten-Free) and ensure all company licenses and registrations remain current.
- Serve as system administrator for QMS and PLM platforms, optimizing workflows, maintaining data integrity, and training internal users.
- Oversee specification management for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, including creation, review, approval, and revision control.
- Maintain document control systems, ensuring SOPs, work instructions, and policies are current, organized, and audit-ready.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Food Science, Business/Information Systems, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in Quality Systems, Product Lifecycle Data Management, or Document Control within a food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
SharePoint site setup experience preferred. - Familiarity with document control practices, revision control, and specification authoring in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting or learning PLM and electronic QMS systems; super-user or administrator experience preferred but not required.
- Basic familiarity with third-party certification portals (e.g., USDA Organic, Kosher, GFCO) and regulatory registration requirements.
- Ability to write, edit, and organize SOPs, Work Instructions, and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organization and the ability to audit data for accuracy and completeness.
