SummaryThe Quality Supervisor serves as the primary onsite quality resource for the Lancaster facility and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality activities. This position monitors inspection, testing, material disposition, quality holds, and related problem-solving efforts while communicating quality risks and escalating significant concerns to the Director of Quality & Technical Development.
Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day quality activities for the Lancaster facility, including first-shift inspection, testing, release, and production support; provide guidance to second-shift Quality and Operations personnel when follow-up or escalation is needed.
- Make routine decisions regarding product acceptance, rejection, containment, rework, and disposition within established authority;

* * high-dollar holds, significant customer risks, unclear specifications, repeated failures, or other high-impact issues to the Director of Quality & Technical Development. - Manage quality holds and related records, including identification, segregation, status accuracy, investigation progress, disposition documentation, aging, inspection/test result review, conformance verification, and communication to affected departments.
- Provide floor-level problem solving and lead or support containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness for production quality issues.
- Investigate or support customer complaints by gathering samples, production records, test data, photographs, operator input, and other evidence for formal reporting.
- Support Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) by evaluating incoming material concerns, testing affected raw materials, documenting nonconformances, gathering samples and evidence, and coordinating information with Purchasing and suppliers.
- Test and disposition incoming raw materials in accordance with specifications, sampling plans, and established test methods; promptly communicate out-of-specification results.
- Assist with manufacturing, technical, supplier, and customer trials, including pre-trial preparation, sampling, testing, observations, data collection, and post-trial summaries.
- Compile and analyze quality data related to holds, scrap, complaints, raw material performance, coat weight, release, dimensional results, and other product or process characteristics.
- Identify recurring issues and adverse trends and recommend containment, process improvements, specification reviews, training, or corrective action as appropriate.
- Partner with Production, Technical, Purchasing, Customer Service, and site leadership to resolve quality concerns.
- Train and coach Quality personnel and production employees on inspection methods, testing requirements, defect recognition, documentation, and quality standards.
- Ensure shift handoffs clearly communicate open holds, pending tests, deviations, special instructions, trials, and risks requiring follow-up.
- Support internal and external audits, document retrieval, corrective actions, calibration activities, and compliance with ISO and company quality-system requirements.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and audit-ready laboratory and quality work area, including proper handling, identification, and retention of samples.
- Assist team members as needed, and work overtime or adjusted hours as assigned.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Quality, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related technical field; equivalent relevant industry experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3-5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with PPAPs, customer qualifications, and validation testing.
- Knowledge of SPC, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with in manufacturing, adhesives, coatings, films, or converting industries.
- Experience developing quality metrics, KPIs and management review reporting.
- Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
