Scientist Senior Associate, Biopharma

Seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist (SAS) to contribute to the discovery and validation of next generation of innovative oncology therapeutics. The SAS will be an integral member of a dynamic research team with an opportunity to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams within Amgen's Discovery Research organization. The SAS is expected to make scientific laboratory-based contributions to the group goals, present their results in internal forums, and participate in the writing of manuscripts for publication.

Specific responsibilities include designing experimental strategy, planning and performing laboratory experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and communicating results in team meetings.

Doctorate degree OR Master's degree and 3 years of scientific experience OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of scientific experience

• Training in cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology with a background in cancer biology.
• A strong skillset in molecular biology techniques (e.g. qPCR, si/shRNA), biochemical assays (e.g. immunoprecipitations, western blotting) and cellular assays (e.g. cell culture, reporter assays, viability assays) is highly desirable.
• Experience with target validation or supporting the early stages of drug discovery program.
