Part Time Sales Associate​/Key Holder; Trenton

As a Part-time Sales Associate you will use your knowledge and experience to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and other solutions for their pets. You will be part of a team of passionate Pet Experts, and enjoy the perks of helping Pet Parents every day. • Build rapport and create lasting relationships
• Prepare merchandise orders
• Place small items (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies, household items, etc. into stock in the sales area of the store
• Sweep, dust and perform other general store maintenance functions
• Become a Product Specialist: undertake continuous training on topics such as cat urinary health, raw‑infused diets, and orthopedic support for seniors
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles of cases and bags of pet food and supplies and put these into stock (items up to 50 lbs.)
• Perform other duties and tasks as required

• Working knowledge of POS system
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
• Ability to work as scheduled to meet attendance requirements, including weekends until 6 pm and evenings until 8 pm
• Reliable means of transportation to and from the store
• At least two years of experience in retail, vet tech, and/or customer service
• Enthusiasm for continued learning and growth in the pet care industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Natural learner: reads product labels, asks “why,” and shares knowledge
• Problem solver: enjoys finding solutions for unique pet issues
• Communicator: can explain technical information in an easy‑to‑understand way
