Responsibilities
As a Merchandising Analyst, you will support merchandising and planning leaders, and will gain exposure to the merchandising career path.
You will perform analysis and help prepare presentations to understand consumer behavior and help drive decisions on driving sales and margin.
Data Analysis- Utilize data analytics tools to analyze sales, inventory, and customer behavior data.
- Identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
- Present insights and recommendations to cross‑functional teams.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor assortments, and emerging products.
- Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
- Collect, organize, and analyze sales data, inventory levels, and customer buying patterns to identify trends and insights.
- Assist in managing projects and to do lists for merchandising and planning group partnering with cross functional partners on deliverables.
- Collect and understand inventory and in stock reporting to flag key concerns for leadership.
- Monitor and manage vendor coop budgets and deliverables across merchandising to ensure timelines being achieved.
- Provide analytical support to the overall team by conducting analyses of historical and current trends.
- Correspond with key vendors on needs for the business including product performance or other items needed for the business.
- 3-5 Years experience in retail or consumer good industry supporting buying, planning or category management.
- For recent college graduates we would need to see relevant course work.
- Must have strong Excel Skills and be good on PowerPoint.
- Ability to utilize data sourcing tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
$72,000- $80,000 annually depending on background and experience.
