This is a full-time, temporary position

As a Wine Educator at Rombauer Vineyards, you will be the face of our winery, ensuring every visitor leaves with a memorable experience. The Wine Educator is a primary guest experience representative and demonstrates the highest quality of customer satisfaction delivered with graciousness, pride, fun, and company spirit.

Promotes the sale of wine and non-wine products in the Tasting Room. Greet all visitors and pour wines for tasting. Describe wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, and provide general tourist information. Ensure a wonderful wine tasting experience, including handling disgruntled customers. Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating the cash register and accounting of daily sales and bank deposits. May assist with hospitality special events as needed.

• Customer Service Excellence:
  You will provide the highest quality of customer service with graciousness and pride, highlighting our unique company spirit. You'll greet guests, host wine tastings, and ensure a great experience for all guests.
• Promote Our Products:
  You'll actively promote and sell wine and non-wine products in the Tasting Room.
• Share Your Knowledge:
  You'll describe our wines, winemaking techniques, and share our winery's rich history. You'll also offer general tourist information.
• Financial Transactions:
  You'll manage routine purchasing transactions, operate the cash register, and account for daily sales.
• Support Special Events:
  You will assist with special events as needed, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of our winery.

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience.
• Required to be 21 years of age or older.
• Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
• Knowledge of basic computer operation.
• Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
• Required to multi-task with focus on detail and switch gears quickly.
• Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
• Experienced in conflict resolution
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

• Bachelor's Degree plus 1 year of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, direct to consumer marketing, or wine education experience; OR…
