Sales Manager – Machine Tools Orange County, CA | $75,000–$100,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

Our client is seeking an experienced Machine Tool Sales Manager to manage and grow a West Coast sales territory. The territory is based in Orange County, California, and extends from Seattle, Washington, south through California and east to Utah. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with at least three years of experience selling large machine tools or machine tool solutions.

The successful candidate will develop new business, maintain existing customer relationships, identify customer needs, and close sales while meeting territory revenue and profitability goals. Heavy travel is required, typically two to three weeks per month. Candidates must be located in the Orange County area to support the territory effectively.

• Develop and execute sales strategies and annual business plans for the assigned territory.
• Identify, prospect, and secure new customers and business opportunities.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers.
• Manage incoming sales leads received through the company website and phone.
• Conduct customer visits to assess needs, discuss equipment solutions, and gather information for estimates and proposals.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and product recommendations.
• Negotiate and close sales to achieve or exceed annual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and opportunities in the CRM system.
• Monitor territory performance and identify opportunities for growth.
• Maintain strong knowledge of machine tool products, technology, and related services.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support customer requirements and successful sales execution.
• Represent the company professionally during customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.

• At least 3 years of sales experience selling large machine tools or machine tool solutions required.
• Proven ability to develop new business and close sales.
• Technical aptitude and understanding of machine tool technology.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM software;
  Zoho experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a sales territory independently.
• Strong customer service, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Territory and Travel Territory:
West Coast region, from Seattle to Utah Home Base:
Orange County, California Travel:
Typically 2–3 weeks per month, including customer site visits and overnight travel

Candidates must be located in the Orange County area.

Base Salary: $75,000–$100,000, depending on experience

Commission:
Uncapped commission potential

Estimated Earnings:
Successful sales performance may provide total annual earnings of approximately $100,000–$250,000.
