Location: Castroville
** Opportunity:*
* UPLC & Mass Spec Experts Wanted! We are seeking an experienced (4+ years) Analytical Chemist for a lucrative contract opportunity with one of the premier employers in Monterey County.
** Title** :
Analytical Chemist
Contract-to-hire + full benefits provided
** Rate** : $40-50/hr. (negotiable) and conversion salary up to $120k depending upon experience
** Location** :
Castroville, CA
** Length of Assignment** : 6-12 months
The Analytical Chemist is a qualified and experienced laboratory analyst with a thorough understanding of analytical laboratory operations. Must be familiar and have experience with UPLC, LC-MS, and/or GC-MS. Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.
** Responsibilities:*
* + Operation and PM of laboratory analytical instruments.
+ Performs routine analysis using validated methods.
+ Participates in development, validation, and/or transfer of new analytical methods.
+ General laboratory operation, ordering, and cleanliness.
+ Conforms to quality system and relevant SOPs.
+ Adheres to required controlled substance procedures
+ Performs other tasks as required.
** Required Education, Qualification and
Skills:
*
* + Experience (4+ years) with HPLC/UPLC chromatography and/or gas chromatography is required.
+ The ability and eagerness to learn new methods and instrumentation is required.
+ Willingness and ability to precisely follow SOPs is required.
+ Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.
+
Experience with gas chromatography and/or mass spectrometry is desired.
+
Experience with Empower 3.0 is desired.
+
Experience with botanical extraction, purification, and/or analysis is desirable.
