Analytical Chemist (Contract)
Opportunity: UPLC & Mass Spec Experts Wanted! We are seeking an experienced (4+ years) Analytical Chemist for a lucrative contract opportunity with one of the premier employers in Monterey County.
Title:
Analytical Chemist Contract-to-hire + full benefits provided
Rate: $40-50/hr. (negotiable) and conversion salary up to $120k depending upon experience
Location:
Castroville, CA
Length of Assignment: 6-12 months
The Analytical Chemist is a qualified and experienced laboratory analyst with a thorough understanding of analytical laboratory operations. Must be familiar and have experience with UPLC, LC-MS, and/or GC-MS. Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
- Operation and PM of laboratory analytical instruments.
- Performs routine analysis using validated methods.
- Participates in development, validation, and/or transfer of new analytical methods.
- General laboratory operation, ordering, and cleanliness.
- Conforms to quality system and relevant SOPs.
- Adheres to required controlled substance procedures
- Performs other tasks as required.
Required Education, Qualification and
Skills:
- Experience (4+ years) with HPLC/UPLC chromatography and/or gas chromatography is required.
- The ability and eagerness to learn new methods and instrumentation is required.
- Willingness and ability to precisely follow SOPs is required.
- Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.
- Experience with gas chromatography and/or mass spectrometry is desired.
- Experience with Empower 3.0 is desired.
- Experience with botanical extraction, purification, and/or analysis is desirable.
