Job Overview

Star Pro Security Patrol, Inc. is seeking a competent and reliable Armed Security Officer to safeguard our client's premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will be a highly trained individual capable of handling firearms responsibly and exercising sound judgment in potentially dangerous situations. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through vigilant surveillance, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to any threats or emergencies.

Responsibilities

Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both on foot and using vehicles, to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms to detect and respond to suspicious activity or breaches.

Enforce Security Procedures: Implement and enforce security procedures, including access control measures, visitor screening, and identification checks. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Deter Criminal Activity: Act as a visible deterrent by maintaining a professional and authoritative presence. Respond assertively to attempts to breach security or endanger individuals.

Handle Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances. Mitigate risks and ensure safety of personnel and property.

Use of Firearms: Safely and responsibly carry and handle firearms in accordance with company policies and laws. Use firearms only as a last resort in imminent threat situations.

Report Writing: Document all security-related incidents, activities, and observations in detailed reports. Maintain accurate records of patrols and incidents.

Collaborate with Authorities: Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders. Provide assistance during investigations or legal proceedings.

Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and clients. Provide assistance and information to ensure a positive experience.

Requirements

Armed Security Certification: Must possess a valid Guard Card and Exposed Firearms permit.

Driver's License: Must possess a current valid Driver's License and submit a copy of your driving records.

Equipped Gears: Level 3A Body Armor (optional), Level 3 Holster, Duty Belt, Handcuffs.

2 out of the 3 Nonlethals: Baton, OC Spray, and/or Taser and certifications are HIGHLY DESIRED

Firearms Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in safe handling and use of firearms. Completed firearms training courses and pass regular proficiency assessments.

Physical Fitness: Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, and physical exertion. Must be in good physical condition and capable of responding effectively to emergencies.

Communication

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds and maintain composure in stressful situations.

Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Assess situations quickly, analyze risks, and take appropriate action.

Ethical Conduct: High level of integrity and ethical conduct. Adhere to professional standards and uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related field.

Additional certifications or training in first aid, CPR, or emergency response.

Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures governing armed security operations.
