Up to $5,000 hiring bonus available.

• Receive arrestees at the jail; determine need for restraints and apply handcuffs, martin chain or leg irons as appropriate.
• Escort and book arrestees; conduct warrant checks, acquire fingerprints and search personal property.
• Move inmates within the facility to various locations and transport inmates to outside facilities such as hospitals, courts, other jails, and prisons.
• Supervise pods, inspect cells, count inmates, and search cells and inmates for contraband and weapons, maintaining security of the facility.
• Respond to and deal with inmates exhibiting violent or irrational behavior in an effective manner.

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED, with additional coursework in law enforcement or related field desirable.
• Background: previous paid or volunteer experience in a law enforcement support setting desirable.
• Licenses and certificates: must comply with all relevant pre‑ and post‑employment training requirements, including firearms and arrest/seizure certification, and State Board of Corrections mandated core training within 12 months of employment; must qualify and pass firearms range training quarterly to carry a semi‑automatic handgun.
