Green Cell Consulting is seeking an experienced Range Safety Specialist to support military training operations in Bridgeport, California. This position provides hands‑on range safety support, inspections, risk management, RFMSS support, and oversight of training activities in a demanding operational environment.

This is an immediate hiring need
. Candidates with Marine Corps range safety, Range Control, RFMSS, RSO, or OIC experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

We provide specialized training and education services, including curriculum development, classroom instruction, and exercise support to the Department of Defense through direct and subcontracting opportunities.

The Range Safety Specialist reports to and receives work direction from the Site Lead and provides range safety support to help ensure safe, compliant, and effective military training operations.

• Make recommendations to resolve range and safety conflicts not covered by installation range SOPs.
• Conduct semiannual reviews of RFMSS facility, event, ammunition, and environmental conflicts in accordance with applicable guidance.
• Review updates to installation range SOPs and recommend corresponding updates to RFMSS administration tables.
• Develop and maintain a range safety inspection schedule for approval by the Range Safety Officer.
• Inspect ranges to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational readiness.
• Deliver range incident reports using RFMSS reporting tools.
• Provide inspection services in accordance with MCO 3570.1C, installation SOPs, and range‑specific requirements.
• Conduct on‑site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and report maintenance issues.
• Monitor training events and enforce safety procedures, including issuing cease‑fire when necessary.
• Provide on‑site recommendations to correct safety issues and notify Range Control of unresolved concerns.
• Conduct range safety briefs for training units.
• Provide feedback on training facility usage to support continuous improvement.
• Attend required training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
