Offsite Maintenance Technician – San Ramon, CA
Pay: $25.00–$26.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Full-time (includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation as needed)
Reports to:
Resident Manager
We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain our residential properties at the highest standard. In this role, you’ll ensure the community remains safe, clean, and fully operational while delivering excellent service to residents. WhatYou’ll Do
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Prioritize and complete work orders efficiently
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, grounds, and amenities
- Assist with apartment turnovers (painting, repairs, preparation)
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- Plumbing issues (toilets, backups, minor repairs)
- Electrical systems (minor repairs)
- HVAC systems and air conditioning
- Maintain pool areas, landscaping, and trash enclosures
- Move furniture/equipment and run property‑related errands
- Participate in an on‑call rotation for emergency maintenance needs
- Suggest improvements to maintenance programs and processes
- 1–2 years of maintenance experience (apartment/property maintenance preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- General knowledge of:
- Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Carpentry, painting, and basic repairs
- Appliance troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and grow technical skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between properties as needed
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call shifts as needed
- Lift 50 lbs regularly (up to 75 lbs occasionally)
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery
- Follow all safety policies and OSHA standards
- Use required PPE
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
